This is a "Smash Book" I made for my daughter Carla. She travels quite a lot and has a small trunk full of memorabilia. Now she'll have a way to organize and enjoy her treasures.
I've used a lot of different paper lines but quite a few of the papers are from a collection I finally cracked open for this project.
I've included a lot of space for journalling and also for photos. Smash (glue in all manner of things, doodle, tell a story, record highlights) books are just that - books you "smash" your mementos into. Like the scrapbooks from back in the day made of newsprint you'd just glue things in. I purchased the obligatory pen/glue stick to go with it.
This paper with the whimsey birds on it was one she was excited about. Carla does not scrapbook. This is an introduction to scrapbooking (wink wink) for her.
I just love the few die cuts I've included. All the little tabs with die cuts are for journalling, front and back.
The above frame is a digi file I've included. A "prompt" of sorts to remind her to include some pics.
Don't you just love this "birds in flight" paper. I've been hoarding it for just the right project. Here it is!
All of the pockets with tags that you see in this book flip so that she can take full advantage of the pages for all sorts of memorabilia.
