Altered Envelope Swap - LOSB July 2012

Above are pics of the finished cards and envies.
Hosted by NiamhO from Life on the Scrap{beach} this was one of the most fantastic experiences in a swap.  I used my absolute favourite stamp from Anna Griffin for the main image and a Martha Stewart stamp set for the brackets front and back of the envie. I had a stamp made by Stampin' up to personalize my card set creations. We were to alter 10 envelopes with art work of our choosing. Initially I thought I'd do some individual art pieces and in fact got going on those but ultimately found myself short on time so browsed my stamp stash to come up with this idea. I adhered a piece of cardstock with Sookwang tape to block the ink, providing for a blank space for addressing. The envies and cards are ecru and the brown Stazon ink really worked well on that background. To highlight and bring out the flowers in the image I detailed with a Signo broad Uni-ball pigment ink pen in white. I love these pens for all kinds of detailing. This was to be an altered envelope swap but I could not resist putting in a little extra, so provided a card stamped with the same Anna Griffin image, with each envie.
