12 Days of Christmas Swap Day 12 - Altered Box - for Shirley Stark!

All of the papers I used on this box are from the DCWV the "French Country Stack". Of course I did apply a coat of gesso first and then some paint in muslin. I "shabbied up the edges, distressing with sandpaper as you can see on the green paper which I used to cover the inside of the "lid". This is a music box which plays when the lid is opened flat. I had to put in a false floor to accomodate for the music box. It plays and sings "Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland". I've filled the box with both my hand made flowers, and others which were purchased, as you can see in the pic above. The little feet are wooden balls with flat tops - perfect for this box. I hope you like it Shirley. It was certainly fun to alter.
