From this gorgeous printable I cut one of the birds and layered it twice, giving it some dimension. Then I used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo to distress. A toilet roll dipped in gesso and I got some "bubble" looking circles and of course the bubble pack also rubbed in the gesso and adhered to the lower edge of the printable with Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive did the trick. I was chomping at the bit to get some mixed media work done so this helped soothe the savage mixed media artist in me temporarily.
Using Tsunami Rose printable - Duckie was a delight! |
I used gesso, Twinkling Mica Powder - watercolor sparkle and distress inks. |
