Altered Paint Brush 0ne to One Swap!
Altered Paint Brush. I bought a cheap paint brush at Walmart. There were little teeny nails holding the metal collar in place, which I first loosened with a stiff metal paint scraper. When they started to come up and I lifted them out. The metal and bristles weren't off yet. It was harder than I expected, to get off, because it was glued in with epoxy but I found the end of the metal band where it had been folded over and undid that fold with some flat nose pliers. Then pulled a bit and it came away. The brush part fell right out. So then I was left with that metal band and decided after much struggle, that it would just be easier to create a band. I did that using the old band for a template and once chipboard was cut I wet it and it wrapped easily. I marked the first two holes using some gesso on the holes but then discovered on the last two that I just needed to "drill" holes using my aul and a small hammer and then just tap the wee nails in. So, there you have it. It's drying now and then I'll go forward with the idea I have noodling in my wee brain.
